The Teen Entrepreneurship Program hosted a successful showcase event this past Saturday, highlighting the creativity, determination, and growing business skills of local youth. The event brought together student entrepreneurs, community members, and local business owners for a dynamic morning of presentations, networking, and real-world business experience.

Participants presented their products and services, engaged with visitors, and received valuable feedback from experienced entrepreneurs in the community. Many students also completed their first sales transactions, gaining hands-on exposure to customer interaction, pricing, and business communication in a supportive environment.

The program was made possible through the support of the Taché CDC and Niverville Credit Union, whose partnership continues to strengthen youth entrepreneurship opportunities in the region. As part of this initiative, Niverville Credit Union is also providing each participating student with a free bank account for one year, helping them build financial literacy and manage their growing ventures.

Looking ahead, students who completed the program will be invited to participate in two complimentary vendor opportunities at the Centre of Canada Market this summer. These market days will give participants additional opportunities to promote their businesses, refine their products, and gain valuable experience operating in a real marketplace setting.

Local business owners and community members played an important role in the event’s success by attending, offering mentorship, and sharing practical advice with the students. Their support helped create an encouraging environment focused on learning, confidence-building, and entrepreneurial growth.

Organizers say the strong turnout and enthusiasm from both students and mentors demonstrate the growing interest in entrepreneurship among local youth and highlight a promising future for small business development in the community.
