RM Updates & Notices Taché Community Centre Update!
Progress continues at the Taché Community Centre, with several trades advancing key components of both the Activity Centre and Library spaces.
Avalon Drywall has been steadily completing steel stud framing along the exterior walls. On the north side of the Activity Centre, installation of GlasRoc gypsum sheathing is now underway, marking an important step in closing in the structure.
Calado has successfully completed the hollow core plank installation for both the bleacher area and the second floor, helping define the structural layout of the upper levels. Meanwhile, Simmons Masonry is actively constructing the masonry block walls for the second-floor male and female washrooms.
Mechanical and electrical work is also progressing well. Penn-Lite continues with plumbing rough-ins for the second-floor washrooms, while Ambrosie is advancing electrical rough-ins in the same areas.
Cast In Place Ltd. remains a valuable on-site partner, supporting a range of critical tasks including heating and hoarding, roof curb fabrication and installation, and parapet backing and vapour barrier tie-ins for the parapet walls.
Overall, construction remains on track with strong coordination among trades as the facility continues to take shape.
