The Centre of Canada Market returned for the 2026 season, bringing local vendors, food, fresh produce, handmade products, and family-friendly activities to the Centre of Canada Park along Highway #1.
The market ran every Friday from June through September, providing a regular opportunity for residents and visitors to shop local, support small businesses, and enjoy the Centre of Canada throughout the summer.
Throughout the season, visitors were able to discover a variety of local products and treats, including fresh vegetables, homemade baking, handmade items, gifts, and other market finds. The market also welcomed a variety of vendors, giving local entrepreneurs, growers, and makers an opportunity to showcase their products and connect with the community.
Family activities were an important part of the market this year, with free bouncy castles offered during the season. These activities helped create a fun and welcoming atmosphere for families visiting the market.
The market also welcomed its first food truck of the season, with Los Comales Morales bringing authentic Mexican street food to the Centre of Canada on August 28 and September 4. Visitors had the opportunity to try something new while supporting a local food business.
The season wrapped up on September 4 with a final market featuring a free obstacle-course bouncy castle, a Mexican street-food truck, homemade pies and baked treats, fresh local produce, and other delicious market finds.
The free bouncy castles throughout the season were made possible through the generous support of Lorette Pharmacie, the Taché CDC, Landmark Freedom Foods—CO-OP, Peppie’s Pizza & Deli, and The Bistro.
The Centre of Canada Market was a great way to bring people together throughout the summer while supporting local vendors, growers, makers, and entrepreneurs.
